I don't want to give up entirely on Global but I feel like it can't really serve the purposes it used to. With classes and activities, nobody really feels like writing and if someone was to resume writing, his work would probably end up on his personal blog / OTM like during this summer. Plus, the new Facebook group has made the posting of vids on Global obsolete. Even though there's basically no use for GlobaLOLization any more, I just feel like it really sucks to give up on it. Does anyone have thoughts on how we can save Global?

A strange number of coincides.

A number of strange events happened in succession to me this morning. If this was Pulp fiction, and I were actually Samuel L. Jackson, I'd call this a fucking miracle. It all starts with a text, and ends with one too.

Summertime yesterday afternoon i received a text from my Father basically saying that he is disapoint that i have yet to pick up my transcript. He kind of threatened to take my Iphone away if i didn't send it at all, but that didn't disturb me. I like to procrastinate but I loathe the sound that deadlines make as they fly by you. I then made the wrong decision of mentioning it to my mom, who then made sure that i would go tomorrow. I told her that I'd get a ride but i just planned on walking.

As the sun set, i finished up a round of tf2 with henry, and decided that i would try and be social. So i logged on aim and started talking. I cant remember how, but the subject of new music comes up while i was talking to Max and Ryan. I ended up staying up all night checking up some really good new music. One of which was a young artist named Joanna Newsom, who plays a mean folk harp. I was looking at her wikipedia page, when i noticed that she is in a relationship with Andy Samberg, who if you don't know, I idolize, because for some reason i think he looks like me, even though i ve been told on numerous occasions that he doesnt. It turns out that he was born and raised in Mill valley, the exact same city that my step brother and my dad live in. I then noticed that he went to UCSC. I then spammed Max's aim chat with my surprised ramblings even though he had gone to bed. So i ended up adding all this cool music to my Ipod through out the night.

Later on, i realized that id have a perfect opportunity to listen to all this good music on my way to school today to pick up my transcripts.
So i got up this morning after my mom left for work. I got ready, shaved all facial hair except for my mustache, dragged a comb across my head, went down stairs and had a cup, all that good stuff. I set my Ipod to shuffle as i opened my front door to lock it. I stepped outside, and I need a Life comes up. I was pretty happy about that. As i turn around, i see a car pull up. My moms then pops out the windows and tells me that she decided that she wanted to drive me to school. If she had gotten there 5 minutes later, or if i had left 5 minutes earlier, she would have missed me. So we head to school while im enjoy my music, i was kind of disappointed that I wouldnt be able to enjoy the walk i was looking forward too.

As we pulled into a parking space at the school, I noticed a black suv dropping some girl off in front of the school. Right as our car stops at the main entrance, the song ends. It's an amazing feeling when that happens. As I started to get out of the car, my mom started saying something, so I paused the music before the next song started. My mom told me that I should buy an extra copy just in case. So as i leave the car and start my way to the counciling office. as I turn to walk up the stairs, i start up my ipod only to have "In the Aeroplane over the Sea comes on". This is the first song i put on the Mix Cd i made for Mel. It's also the song I listened to over and over again the night before i asked her to work up some confidence.

Im sure youd love to hear me go on and on about this girl, but I'm telling you for a reason. For as i took my first step up that stair, just as Jeff magnum's booming voice comes in, I look up only to see no other then Mel walking down the stairs. I quickly, sloppily manage to pause my music as she says "Hi sam (=]]]]])! how has your summer been?" I managed to mumble some quick words in my utter confusion, something along the lines of "goodfungreathowaboutyou" i think she had time to say a quick good before i blurted out "oh well ill see you later" (which i probably won't). I then finish my walk up the stairs in shock and awe over what just happened. "Fuck, fuck,fuck" i think to myself. when i entered the counciling office i started laughin at how absurd the events that just transpired had been. If my mom hadn't come back to drive me, I wouldn't have met mel on the stairs there. Had I not been fortunate enough to leave the house right as my mom pulled up, i probably wouldnt have gotten to school to see her. And then of course, there was Aeroplane coming up on my shuffle.

After getting back home, we have a nice text conversation after i explained that she took me by surprise. She's going to be a councilor at a journalism camp or something. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like her that way anymore. I think a good way to describe these events is in the words of the great Kurt Vonnegut: busy busy busy. I cant help but think that someone somewhere is trying to mess with me. I was laughing the whole way home, which my mom then got mad at because i refused to tell her why i was laughing. She thinks that I was laughing at her.

Christ, where did the years go? I know many of you probably feel the same way. I'm turning 18 tomorrow(-ish) so I guess these few days have a lot of significance to me. I've been thinking, and i know it's like beating a dead horse, but I feel like any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a band is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae. Thank you for helping me realize this, Mr. Vonnegut. In retrospect, foolish mistakes were made, but who cares. Anyway(s), I believe I owe you guys a thank you for the good times. And I guess for putting up with my antics sometimes, i know i can be frustrating. Believe me when i say that i know when I'm acting foolish. You have all helped me become a better person, and for that, I am forever indebted to you. My other purpose in making this post is to make a toast. To good times with good friends. I love you all more then i show it. And of course to more good times this summer. Let's not be worthless this summer, i hope to get out of the house as much as possible.

so uh yesterday i made a blog post while under the effects of adderall/tired , so today i was thinking that i would make a blog post while under the effects of THC/tired so you can compare the two. decide for yourself which sam frank you like more. or is it better? like better. I decided that i would give momfurd and sons another try, this time while high. i figured im basically feeling the exact opposite effects then yesterday.
ill keep like journal of me listening to it

1. so here wea go! listening to the first song on the album, entitled "the cave"
- ooooooh sounds scary. Dark deep emotional journey through a cave. haha. i liked the opening it was soft but sweet. this song sounds different then the other songs more now then last time. it's building up pretty nicely. omg a banjo and stomping. this shits amazing. i could completely imagine us singing this in the car sometime. guys writing while high is pretty fun heehee

2. omg this song goes on forever. Glorious ending!!! so many exclamation point.s finally. not a bad song for an opening song. it was fun but not heavy, you could tell that the band was saving the heavy emotional stuff in the center of the album. i mean the middle album. im listening to winter winds now. it sounds pretty similar to the first song ish so far. this video is kind of sad, i like it. i think this song is talking about something else. i like how the song names are stuff in nature. that's pretty. i like that guys mustache. this song goes on for awhile. its about the changing seasons or something, its sweet. oh damn a trumpet. pretty good stuff. i feel like im seeing a lot more stuff in the music compared to when on adderall.

3. I think i understand the music better when high. i'm listening to "awake my high" right now. I it starts off slowly, sullen. sounds like irish music. the harmonies i mean. this video has a lot of views, so it must be a popular song. I like this album, its catchy but theres another element i couldnt see when i was on aderall because i couldnt transcend over the medicine pills. i understand the music now, its emtional and raw and since its raw its real. you could feel the aching is his voice. i liked the song.

3. It is the fun for me. Im getting kind of tired now. Im listening to "lier" now. It starts off slowly, and sadly. I like how hes admiting its his fault, thats responsible of him. i like how he admits what he does wrong. so meaningful. oh god i just read the last paragraph it sounds like im so high. wait oh my god is good writing, i should take that out. oh man the guitar just came in. so soft and sweet. I like comparing to this to the first song. its so much different. i can see were they are going. Its like an emotional journey. good song. I mean like when listening to bob dylan and Mumford, they are both folk rock. they dont are to be good regardless.

4. Im listening to "roll away your stone right" now. i like how it progressing from last song. omg i love the banjo in this song. its like dueling banjos. i like the line "darkness is a hard time don't you think". Oh man i love this stomping. i like how it fits well into the song. This song feels so much shorter, its fun. i thought the quiet ending was nice. short song, so im doing 2 in this paragraph. one per paragraph you know, proffesional. listening to "white blank page" now. soft and slow and sad beggining. i like how its different then the song before, this album doesnt sound the same the same at all in retrospect. short song again. i like the crescendo to the part near the end. the hand percussion instrument fits in nicely. liked it.

5. Alright, ive saved the best for last. im going to listen to the infamous "lil lion bro" (heehee) song now. a little exicted from what ive heard before. i feel like being on the pill really closed my mind to enjoy this album. i sound so stupid reading my post now. I like the begging, the repitious build up, and the banjo entrance is perfect. fun song to sing along with. I like how the song starts off soft and slow, but its different from last time. Oh man i love this banjo moment in this song too. the band is really good at is so they do it alot, because they do it well though. i didnt understand that before. i like how he accepts what he did wrong the last time, thats really good of him. i respect that. very very entertaining part. i like how the end slows down again after the instense middle then builds up again. really like a rollercoaster. foot stomping good. i really like this song. im gonna listening to it again to try and remember the song.

Conclusion 8.5 out of ten, great job!. i really enjoyed it this time. i saw a lot of things i didnt see the first time when i was being stupid. its really fun to listen to and enjoyable. i guess i had bad taste for not liking it before, its really good and if you like it then its good music to you right? its good music now. i guess this proves that music is subjective. how stupid of me to say it was one thing or the other. its really a unique album, were they play a variety of things their good at so it sounds good. good lessons about the emotional journey which was also shown by the intensity of the music. I enjoyed the experience this time , i want to learn the lyrics to little lion man so i can sing it. so, now when i am the high, it is like viewing all music on the other side, and its like they says, the green is always grassier on the other side of the wall.

half an hour later:
im still sort of high, but is has definitely come off. man i sound dumb. but i did still really enjoy the music, even though i was high and still am a lil bit. Im believe that i didnt give the band a good enough chance, and i predjudged it like a elitist asshole. sorry guys. I can see how its good now, i know why you guys like it. Its very catchy and enjoyable yet at the same time emotional sometimes. I want to listen to it more, so im downloading the album and putting it on my Ipod. Pitchfork is wrong, they are just pretentious hipster elitists.

In retrospect, after reading the "review" I wrote about another half hour later, I realize how stupid I sound. For your sake, I will not edit this original draft that I wrote earlier. You might find it funny.

I'm posting today to defend a claim I have made to some of you regarding my dislike of Mumford and Sons. Don't start with how music is subjective, or tell me how your tastes are just different then mine. To be blunt: Mumford and Sons aren't good in a musical sense, while they might be entertaining to some.

Please read it in its entirety, there are some very good points. Listen, I know you two love your little lion man so for those of you that have yet to have the happiness of experiencing the plight of the little lion man, I will link it:

Yes, I'm glad that you guys enjoy it, and I'm glad that you found something you like. However, while you guys enjoy it i want you to realize that it's shit. To quote Pitchfork:
"For music that ostensibly prizes the appearance of honesty and confession, Sigh No More sounds surprisingly anonymous, giving a sense of the band as engaged music listeners but not as real people. Mumford paints himself a sensitive guy put upon by insensitive lovers: "Tell me now where was my fault in loving you with my whole heart," he whines on "White Blank Page", as the music swells and ebbs to exonerate him of any misdeed or misunderstanding. Worse is "Little Lion Man", which is already a hit in Britain but sounds overly self-absorbed in its insistent mea culpas ("it's my fault"s), as if admitting wrongdoing is a noble gesture: "I really fucked it up this time, didn't I, my dear?""

There is no depth to their music. I'm not telling you guys to stop listening to them, they may very well be entertaining to you. They just have no musical depth. "They love big moments and acoustic instruments, so you might call what they do hoedown pop, although that might be giving them too much credit: Every hoedown on Sigh No More-- every rush of instruments in rhythmic and melodic lockstep-- conveys the same sense of hollow, self-aggrandizing drama. And they pull that shit on every track."

Self-aggrandizing drama on every track you say? Let's see... remember the first line of that great Little lion man song? "Weep for yourself, my man, you'll never be what is in your heart"
So edgy. This is filled with more pretentious, angsty bullshit then Holden Caulfield.

Adding on to the fact that their music shows the musical depth of a middle school band is that there music is quite shallow and pedantic. Mm, yes, shallow and pedantic. If you enjoy music that lacks musicality then I don't think you have very good taste in music. Holy shit, they can do a crescendo. If you want to hear some real musical build-ups, listen to Pink Floyd, not this pretentious, "SO INDIE", psuedo-musical bullshit.

Let me show you something that I found recently that I enjoy so you can compare good music to entertaining music. This is a GREAT example of the difference between GOOD Indie/hipster music and BAD indie/hipster music.

It should be intuitively obvious even to the most casual observer.

It's one guy, but he calls his act The Tallest Man on Earth.
He's not that popular, and his albums have gone mostly under the radar. I stumbled upon his works completely by accident.

Here is a critic's opinion on him:
"Matsson's melodies are remarkably pliant, and while it's understandable to be skeptical of another skinny dude with a mustache, a guitar, and a worn-out copy of The Anthology of American Folk Music, the more time you invest in Shallow Grave, the more you'll realize how unusually memorable it is. Ultimately, Shallow Grave transcends comparison-- which is saying an awful lot, given the popularity of its prototype-- and Matsson is a natural-born folksinger, earnest, clever, and comforting."

I highly, highly recommend his newest album, The Wild Hunt.

I find myself liking pitchfork's reviews. If you like acoustic/folk, he is actually quite dylanesque. If you are interested, please read that article on this guy and check out some of his music, it's worth listening too.
"His lyrics are rough and often ragged, more concerned with evoking aching emotions than with making explicit sense. But that coded aspect only makes him sound more urgent, as if he's trying to convince you of something he couldn't possibly put into words."

Unlike Mumford and sons, "His playing is sophisticated but never showy, alternating between spry picking and forceful strumming." He isn't a whiny bitch like Mumford is. Really, take 5 minutes and read the pitchfork reviews.

I'm only telling you guys this to help you. Don't be fooled by showy bullshit, go ahead and enjoy mumford, but don't call it good music. So in conclusion, while you guys are free to your own musical opinions, you're wrong. My musical tastes> yours. Deal with it (I'm mocking myself here).

Tl;dr: Mumford and sons suck dick, stop wasting your time with music that's only entertaining when you could listen to music that's good and entertaining. There are just so many other acoustic Folk/indie bands out there that are catchy and easy to listen to, but at the same time have great musical talent. Like the Flaming Lips.

Back in the day, little Globsy was the most popular kid around. He had a tight group of friends who spent a whole lot of time with him. Nary a day passed by when there were not multiple bloggular updates thrown in Globsy's direction.

"Hey, Globsy! Globsy-LOLbsy!" one friend shouted gleefully. "Come here, let me tell you about how much Ebaums sucks!"

"Hey, Globsy!!!" a different friend shouted, in the midst of an incoherent rage, "I can't believe my Wikipedia edits were taken down!!! GODFUCKINGDAMMIT FRANCS2000!!!!"

"Hey, Globsy!" yet another hollered. "Isn't that Gamer kid a fag? More like GAYmer's Paradise amirite!?"

With that last holler, a great kerfuffle broke out in which all of the blogging chums rallied around Globsy, all pitching in to deliver a victory against the imagined foe. Basking in the triumph, Globsy was on top the world and feeling pretty damn good about it.

The subject matter constantly tossed Globsy's way was undeniably banal, but still Globsy and his buddies were feeling pretty content with the way things were heading. There seemed to be no end in sight to this team effort.

LOL, is that a load of bull!

(Later on, Globsy's friends all decided to make their own blogs. Globsy would be depressed if he was not just an inanimate collection of data.)

While some might celebrate the anniversary end of the deadliest conflict in human history with a parade and reconciliation with post-conflict rivals, others choose to commemorate the occasion with a(nother) great era-themed computer game!

To ring in the 65th year of relative peace, a trio of game companies have released the multiplayer portion of Men of War, a tactical action game set in the European theater for free. Before you roll your eyes at the continued beating of what's surely unrecognizable horse pulp by now, hear me out. The game is unique in that it's not overly realistic, but emphasizes taking cover and making effective and clever use of limited numbers of fairly fragile units (infantry die in a few shots and tanks can be taken out with 1-3 hits from high-caliber weapons, depending on thickness of armor and angle of impact). To quickly sum it up, the game features fully destructible environments, all major Axis and Allied nations (each of which can fight against any other, regardless of historical inaccuracy), a simple infantry inventory system that allows you to pick up dead soldiers' equipment (and for some reason, chickens), and a direct control system that allows you to run around as an infantry unit or drive a vehicle around the map before lining up just the right kill shot. Hurry up and get this so we can play, since the offer only lasts until the 23rd!

Now if only I had a working computer to play this on...

Seeing the Same Old Post Gets Old After Awhile...

I have not posted in a long time. A really long time. So long, in fact, that I'm too lazy to go back into Global's archives and cite exactly when my last post was written. However, I'm sure it wasn't very interesting. Most likely it was about the latest CHS show production I was in (speaking of which, go watch CHS's Murder Mystery Night! I'm in it!).

Since I've last posted, I have grown into a different person. I won't go into the specifics, but I can just assure you that a lot has happened. From this, I've really come to notice how happy a person people think I am. Not all of you who read this blog necessarily, but there certainly are those who think that wherever I am, at whatever time, I will always have a huge grin from ear to ear. Well, I have this to say: I, unfortunately, am not that person. Like everyone else, I have my own problems, my own insecurities. In reality, I am like everyone else. The only difference is that I always put on that persona, that dumb personality that appears to be forever blissful. By discussing this with Ryan during one of our many walks around Calabasas Lake, we got to an interesting question: Are happy people dumb? I mean, I know a bunch of people who only seem to be happy, and I certainly don't think of them doing extremely well on IQ tests. I have even occasionally wondered if people think I'm one of those people.

So, I got rejected for Prom. Well, not necessarily rejected: She said she already planned on going with someone else. And, while most people have said, "Wow! Don't you think she's a bitch for doing that?", the truth is that I don't. While it would have been better to say "No, I'm going with someone else" immediately after I asked her, she was simply trying to avoid humiliation for the both of us in that crowd. Honestly, I would have done the same thing. Anyway, it's my fault for not hearing that she was going with someone else before I asked her. So, now I've got to (quickly) ask someone else!

I ~~like~~ ~~love~~ am obsessed with the T.V. show Chuck. During the rehearsal process of Flowers for Algernon, whenever I wasn't up on stage or busy expanding my social life, I was sitting down in one of those old, relatively uncomfortable theater chairs, watching Chuck. "Well, now that's just plain silly," you might say. And I agree. There is little value you can get out rewatching an hour-long T.V. show. I have somewhat of an unhealthy problem. So much so, in fact, that I have almost half a mind to go up to Mr. G-Pin's father, shake him, and whine, "Please renew Chuck for a fourth season!". In reality though, I would never do that. I am well-aware that that would get me a swift booting out of the house, as well as ruin any future contacts in the perilous industry I so badly want to enter.

Well, I suppose that's it for now. And, yes, this post is probably better suited for the personal blog I will inevitably create. But, hell, it's always nice when GlobaLOLization gets a post that isn't a highly-recommended video. Though, then again, maybe you want to see the way Sean asked Miss Gabi Hankins to Prom!

So I thought this up the other night when the family was all packed in the car to go to dinner. My younger brother had preempted me in taking the front passenger seat (and thus control of the radio).

Russian naval captain Alexei Krapov had drunk just a tad too much vodka whilst on the job one night, as Russians are often known to do. He then plugged his Russian iPod ripoff into the ship's audio input plug (they have those, right?) and started blasting a pirated copy of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, dancing as only a drunken Russian sailor could as he did so. The first mate was one deck above him and noticed that the ship was on a direct collision course with an iceberg. He did the logical thing , which was to inform the captain of the danger so that he could change course. The first mate rushed into (HA! RUSH IN, RUSSIAN) the bridge, pop music nearly tearing apart his eardrums, pointed frantically at the ship's steering wheel and shouted to the captain "TURN THAT KRAPOV!!"

So here's another post to work out the details of the contest. The rules according to suggestions so far are as follows:

- The entry fee is $5$7. Two things here: 1) should we raise it? 2) Is it all going to be put into a box/whatever which the winner will receive (thus making the prize a bunch of money and a free box), which will then be placed in a safe, neutral/trustworthy location, or shall it all be paid directly to the winner upon the contest's end?

- Should entrants prove unable to pay the entrance fee, a purchase of equivalent value (by credit card or otherwise) for the contest's victor will be acceptable substitute.

- The contest shall begin at midnight on the eve of Monday 22 February (i.e. go ahead and stroke it all of Sunday until about 11:59)

- All entrants must normally engage in the act of poultry strangulation at least four times in an average seven-day week.

- Should there be a second place prize? In such a case, the pool would be divided about 75/25 between the first and second place winners respectively. I say this depends on the number of entrants and entrance fee.

This is also the official signup post, so get those comments in and get those hands in those pants while you still can!

A Slice of Life

I went to a Calculus tutor today. The name of the agency is "My=Equation," which doesn't make sense. I can't remember the tutor's name, but he's probably around 30 years old and seemed to be simultaneously undergoing puberty and aging at the same time. When I walked in he was chatting with a woman in a flirtatious manner and asked her to lunch. After I sat down he told me that she was the mother of a former pupil.

He was also really condescending and made me feel dumb the whole time. Whenever I made a misstep solving a problem he took the paper from me and did the whole problem for me. I just wanted to say "Gee, sure is great to be a young man with a full head of hair and a relatively clear face."*

The appointment after me happened to be Joey's so the tutor told me to say "What's Claude's last name?" on the way out as part of an inside joke between the two of them. It was only slightly funny.

Driving home, I thought how pointless it was to pay $100/hour for a class I only need to pass. But then again, most things are pointless.

Burst Into Post Office For Final Showdown

Like those pod racers in Star Wars Episode 1 (the best episode IMHO)you run forward as fast as your legs can take you to the ultimate destination.

What destination?

The post office silly! It’s like you’ve been out of your cubicle for 6 months. How could you possibly forget your assignment after being out for only a couple of hours.

Things haven’t gone well up until now. You’ve violated the privacy of civilians by exposing your genitalia in an overhead fashion, you kicked affirmative action in the face by… well avoiding a black caucus completely, and let’s not forget the reason why you’re in such a rut: you incinerated Jenny’s legs and exploded your office floor while playing a killer solo on your axe guitar.
If only things could go as planned now. If only you could just drop off Evan James Plankton’s Tax Payments like a semi-responsible employee and head back to HQ begging to get your job back…

You run ever so closely to the post office door. Jenny is hooked onto your back like some sort of knapsack except the straps are her arms and her legs are… well she doesn’t have much of her legs left really.

You kick the door open. Good thing you checked to see the post office hours before barging in! It’s a Sunday and you just kicked the door open. The door comes off it’s hinges and an alarm starts ringing. The piercing fire and security bells all over the room are horrid. There is no concentrating in this hostile environment.

Well if you’re going to break into the post office… might as well deposit the letter. As you approach the mail deposit box on the opposing end of the room you notice a blinking red button on the wall. For some reason you feel that pressing the button might turn off the alarms or at least make things more bearable.

~Click~

The blinking light falls out of its socket and lands on the floor. You decide to grab for it… a great addition to your Yuletide tree for Yuletide’s Eve!

From your back, Jenny shouts out “DO YOU EVER FUCKING LEARN?”.
It’s not like Jenny to scream baaad words.

You have the small button in the palm of your hands but… it has stopped blinking. Now where have you seen this before? Feels dreadfully familiar.
The light literally lights on fire and proceeds to engulf you in its flames.
There has to be something, the sirens are still wailing and now you’re on fire, again.
Of course, this moment wouldn’t be perfect without Jenny’s arms lighting on fire as well. You both start screaming and running around until-

In the distance a massive silhouette appears. It quickly gets bigger, closer, clearer. Oh no!
It’s a gang of large men with anthropomorphic alligator masks. In their hands are tubes of alligator lube and they are not afraid to hit you with them. They were attracted by the beautiful ringing noise coming from your currently illegal location. With a gang like this, all sorts of cRaZy hIjInKs may occur.

You (still on fire and desperate for an alternative) run at the alligator gang with Jenny (also still on fire). As you approach them in agonizing pain you shout for their help. They look menacing but who knows. “HEY GANG- UHM… ALLIGA- UHM… GUYS! could you please help me out! I’m on fire and I need someone to quickly put me out.” They are more than happy to help a burning man out and quickly cover you in slimy alligator lube. There is no feeling in the world more gratifying than being extinguished by the overwhelmingly smooth sensation of alligator lubricant.

Jenny is still on fire. Who cares; she’s too busy screaming incoherent babbles for the gator gang to notice. If only she was polite once in a while, people would do her more favors. That’s why she’s so paraplegic in the first place.

As an act of thanks and kindness, you bake the gang a cake out of supplies found in postal service boxes. The cake is an angel food cake. The best one you have ever made. As you reveal your creation, an applause rises from the gator gang. What were you suppose to be doing again? ADHD ADHD ADHD

Jenny is still on fire.

It strikes you that the cake is not decorative enough. Before cutting it and handing a piece to each member, you decide to decorate it with 'peanuts' and other memorable black discoveries. “Now that’s a dawg on diggity cake!” you exclaim. You follow this exclamation with a few other African American-oriented phrases including “Zig-Zag Ziggity Oop”. The cheering gang becomes silent.

Jenny is still on fire.

Slowly they remove their masks.
The gang is actually the Congressional Black Caucus in disguise. They grip their lube and begin beating down on you with the forces of gator fluid. Unlike the gratifying experience of being covered in alligator lube, the experience of being pummeled with alligator lube is a much more unpleasant one. At this point, Jenny is completely external to the conflict. She is a flaming mess on the ground. Her arms are now ashes yet somehow she still lives.

You punch through as many of the Caucus members as you can. It’s not easy. As you fight your way through their continuous gentle beats, you can make out Jenny just barely in her screaming bundle of flames. An idea has struck you straight in the… right ear. You reach her side and begin searching her pockets.

“Auughgigiiiiihghiiiiii!” she screams.
“Not now. I’m looking for something!” you exclaim.

There it is! In her right pants pocket you discover the damaged can of Red Cow Energy Fizz you had used to bring your flying ‘pet’ to life. Quickly, you pour the remaining contents into your pants and wait for the magic to happen.

“Make the flames stop!!!” Jenny keeps yelling.
“Say please for once in your life!” you respond angrily.

Your pants start to expand as expected. Belt unbuckles. Privacy is made public. But something feels… different.
You don’t remember having such a painful feeling in you sphincter. Sure your body is expanding, becoming alive at the waist but not like you want it to. You feel something being excreted. It’s extremely painful but if it’s what you got to do to get out of here… so be it. It’s the biggest dump you've made in you lifetime. Plop!

The feeling goes away you’re back to normal. But out from your buttocks has emerged a very peculiar object…

You know what to do…
As the Caucus approaches, you quickly jump out of the window of the post office while simultaneously throwing the propane tank at Jenny. Fire meets cold steel while you make a barrel roll, crashing through glass.

BOOM.

The explosion shakes the entire block; bright light is everywhere. You just barely made it out alive. Slowly the light dies and with it the fire that fills the post office. All becomes ash. All is ash.

-All is silent-

You make your way to the opposite end of the post office and finally, finally, FINALLY. Deposit the papers.

As hard as it is to believe, you have actually fulfilled your duty.

As you make your way out of the roasted building, you take one last look at the destruction and charred bodies all around you. You hear a faint whimper. It’s Jenny.

Tusken Bob is a- noble man. You run to Jenny’s side, noticing in full detail how she’s been reduced to a lump with a head. It’s not a pretty sight. Then again, you do have a charred body fetish.

“Is it over?” she asks.
“Yeah, it’s over…” you say with the most soothing and seductive voice possible, “let’s get out of here.”
“How could anyone ever love me this way?” she asks.
“I love you this way.” you respond.

You pick her up and carry her in your arms out of the post office.
Put some pants on Tusken! You forgot your pants!

You run back in, put on your burnt pants, pick Jenny up in your arms again, and carry her out of the post office with you.

You feel like an accomplished man. There is nothing your foolish self can’t accomplish at this very moment in time. You stare into Jenny’s eyes and tell her:
“You know what... That goddamn Evan can wait. Let’s go have some hardcore fun”

As you walk away from all the rubble an ash, the gentle gold of the sun sets on the horizon at a far distance. It brings a feeling of serenity to the atmosphere. A sense lost during the span of this hectic day. A bubbly feeling rises in you. You burst out in chant:

If at least two thirds of all players support the indictment, then the accused player is banned from the game. The accused player can appeal to Chris Hayes. If Chris Hayes approves overturn of the ban, then unless there is a unanimous vote amongst remaining players in favor of continued ban, the accused player is allowed back into the game with all the points he would have had the indictment not occurred.

Double-decker bologna sandwiches are immensely powerful.
Even more powerful than Chris.

If Joshua guesses right he can either choose to receive 10 points immediately (as per current rules) or a double-decker bologna sandwich.

A double-decker bologna sandwich is meant to be saved for desperate times. The ex-Joshua may use his double-decker bologna sandwich one time, to make a double-decker bologna sandwich proposal (titled "DD Proposal"). A DD proposal requires objections from at least half of all players to be rejected. After passage, it behaves like a normal rule.

1. Chris was being a huge jerk by telling you all that I was the goblin. What the hell?

2. I did not actually sit shotgun when there were multiple people vying for it. I sat shotgun with Evan when it was only him and me. Sameer joined the car after a few minutes when we went to pick him up. I did make sure not to sit shotgun on the way home, where we were both at the car at the same time.

21) T-Virus Tuesdays

The Goblin is a pretty mean guy. After revealing himself, he breaks out some crazy foaming shit that causes ppl to get infected and turn into zombies. Here's how it works:

Every Tuesday morning, Chris will roll a die for each player. Evens are safe and become Troops. Odds are infected and become Zombies. Zombies and Troops battle it out by repeatedly commenting on the post where the ex-goblin revealed himself.

Troops comment with shotgun.
Zombies comment with brains.

The last comment before 8PM (that same Tuesday) will decide who wins T-Virus Tuesday. Each winner will be rewarded points equivalent to the number of losers.

i've been looking up more examples of nomic games and have a better idea of how to start one. even though you invent the rules as you go, a nomic is still a game. and sure, we've only had two proposals so far but from the look of things, seems this game is going to be all based on doing/not doing things in our daily lives and that doesn't sound very fun. instead i suggest we use our turns to develop the theme of the game and actually make it a game not just a random set of instructions.

what do I mean? here's an example of a theme i came up with. we don't need to use this but it's just so you get an idea of what i mean.
players use their turns to set up the following set of rules:
-every week a mole is secretly chosen by the previous week's mole.
-all the players then question each other in an attempt to figure out who the mole is.
-at the end of the week, players declare who they believe is the mole. the mole gets so and so points based on how many ppl get it wrong. and each player gets so and so points if he gets it right.
-of course it's very difficult to find out who the mole is so players would start instituting new rules like 'the mole may make no objections to proposals" and so on.
again, this is just an example. i wish you all the best,

5) Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

Catchy late late 90s electro pop rock. These guys have been doing this ever since 1999 and are suddenly getting the recognition they deserve. I guess doing the same thing over and over gets you somewhere once in a while by chance. HEY YOU: Henry and Trevor (i guess). Check this out!

4) The Protomen - Act II The Father of Death

If you enjoy the first Protomen album and still haven't checked this out you better. This prequel to the Nashville-born megaman rock opera is full of tear-jerking, testosterone-activating lyrics that will take you by surprise knowing it's, well you know, about some lame videogame rite. Make sure you have the lyrics in front of you as you listen to this baby through, only then will you get the full experience. HEY YOU: Chris. Check the second half of this album out! It's pretty 80s! AND YOU: Gaspin. Check this album out again, without tearing up my lyric booklet.

3) Muse - The Resistance

What? Not in the n1 spot??? But Kenny is like the biggest Muse fan ever! Well guys, The Resistance is a pretty amazing album but I wouldn't say it's the best of the year. Muse is never afraid to change the style of their songs completely from album to album cept this 09 album wasn't up to Origin of Symmetry or Black Holes. I feel like for every truly Muse-ish song, there are 3 'mainstream' songs to appeal to the dumb masses. If that's the music industry these days, well, oh well. Heh.
Anyway, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EXOGENESIS- A 3 movement symphony Matt Bellamy (singer/guitarist) worked on for many years before finally adding it to the Resistance. HEY YOU: Gaspin, Deng, MB, and Ryan. Check this out! You're in for fun fun fun.

2) Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion

I would be silly not to add stick this somewhere in the list. I mean it's not my favourite album in the world but it's loads of experimental freak-folk fun. (And if I didn't include AnCo's MPP this blog would suddenly be hunted by a bunch of raging, neon-pantsed ppl ready to tear me to limbs + a raging Spin Magazine ready to tear me to limbs.)
